It was usual for me to question my existence and purpose but it is the first time that I am questioning everybody's existence in this world that I live in. Being alone is not the luxury people can afford in today’s fast-paced world. How much ever you try to avoid, the noise from outside or the havoc in your mobile makes sure you do not miss anything… Blame it on social media or your own curiosity but the voices of the world will echo in your head if not in your ears. Social media is a great tool with the potential of becoming most lethal weapon. The reason that social media appears to be less of convenience and more of havoc, is because of incorrect/malicious usage of the media. I had participated in a short story competition organized by Times of India. I did not bag any awards but still wanted to share the story with you. Here it is.... I hadn’t seen him for seven years. Time – the most important element in our limited lifespan. Running with time is one of the traits that we have cultivated over time. Obviously, time beats us every time but giving up is not something that humans do. We set tasks for ourselves making our life driven by timetable. And you would be considered foolish to not go with time. Well, mine are as below: 1) When it rains like cats and dogs, especially when you are just about to step outside your home. So that week the world was celebrating World Environment Week and suddenly out-of-nowhere there were so many environmentalist/NGOs talking about waste management, e-waste, going green so on and so forth. May be not “out-of-nowhere”, they were there already but in that particular week, it was as if somebody had drawn focus lights on them i.e. the environmentalist and the social activists/NGOs! There were initiatives under CSR drawing attention of crowd, existing in Corporate world, towards e-waste produced from electronic items, which again made my mind take a leap to a whole new world! A world where there are no computers!! I mean think about it, hypothetically, one day a bill is passed by government banning the use of computers because of the e-waste that it produces!!! (I know, I know… It is not even close to what bills are getting passed in parliament and what agenda our new government has… But still who has the guts to make imagination go through a reality check!!) Guardian Angel... Oh, I always wished I had one! One who would always be with me. Not like shadow, but like sky; always watching over me. Would always light the path which was meant for me, caught me if I ever fall, would hold my hands whenever I would feel alone and scared. Whisper in my ears, answer to my prayers. Love... can be easy or difficult from person-to-person. It depends actually on the intention of loving someone. If every-time you expect to own what you love, it will never be easy to love someone.  Looking around, I see people struggling to buy/win love and keep with them as a showpiece/asset whatever they expect it to be. But for me, love is something that needs to be given freely. Not every love needs to be owned or not every love needs to be expressed. Loving someone for the sake of it, without expecting anything in return is also a wonderful experience. Remembering them in your prayers, blessing them, loving them without their knowledge is the most amazing thing. They would never ever know because you would never tell them because it’s not important that you express your love every-time you love someone. Its been quite a while since I have sat down to write something. But truly speaking there was nothing that came upto my mind until recently... Forgiving is one of the greatest virtues of Human Kind. I truly believe that the act of forgiveness helps you to get free of the grudges and helps you to move on. However, it did not click me until recently that a kind person can give forgiveness if somebody asked for it; but forgiving somebody who has doesn't even realized his mistake, it takes much more than a kind person! All my life, I had met 2 kinds of people : one who confront their mistake and asked for forgiveness and the other one who realize their mistake and drift apart to avoid confronting their mistakes. It was cold February. I had decided to take a walk along the seashore. It had been a while since I had spent some time alone near the seashore. I removed my shoes and held it in one hand and walked on the sand. The beach was isolated. However, the wind and the waves made it a point to give me company. Needless to say, I love their company.
