An Attempt to Save

It is said that “When the sins rise on the face of this Earth, God showers His anger through His ways”

And considering this statement true, I believe the stacks of sins are overflowing. Or else what would you tell to the floods in Pakistan or the earthquake in Haiti or the climate change? By way the things are going on, it wouldn’t be far that our earth would be destroyed making it difficult for the human beings to stay on it further anymore. They have already started predicting the year when the earth would be destroyed and we all will be dead. If we don’t do anything now, we would surely die along with our mother earth.

God had sent us here to protect and nurture earth but it happened the other way round. Mother earth helped us to meet our basic needs. She gave us the things we needed to survive while we took her for granted. I could feel her tolerance coming to exhaust. She has bear so much that no human being could ever bear. And now she is giving up. It’s high time that we look in her direction before she turns her gaze away from us. We need her and we have to save her. We have to nurture her. We have to give her what she needs. We need to take care of her, free her from the pollution.

I know it’s a very huge mission. And one man alone could not achieve it. So, everyone needs to be made aware of it. We need to spread the awareness. Being responsible for our actions and deeds will help if not eradicating then at least reducing the pollution from earth. Small deeds could end up in great results. It’s an oath that we should take ourselves. We cannot afford to ignore our Earth anymore. It’s already late. Things have already started roaring up, if we don’t take any action now, it would really be too late. It’s right here that we decide to save our earth from getting destroyed and save the mankind from becoming extinct.

And with pollution I do not only mean air, water, noise pollution but also the pollution in our hearts. We have polluted our hearts and minds too. We are so busy in our lives to get bigger flats, bigger cars, greater salary, and more profits that we have forgotten our main duties towards the mankind: The duty of being generous to others, helping others, being kind to others, loving others and caring for others. Yes, it is not a choice to be kind or helpful but it is the duty of every human being to be kind and helpful. Everyone alive here knows they could not live more than 100 years then for what they are striving so much. We are gonna die some or the other day, why don’t we make this place a better place for the generations to come and then leave. Make them learn that living in the end is not so tough. Loving and caring for each other is not tough. Sharing and being generous is not so difficult. Make them realize that the world is really a beautiful place with beautiful people and those beautiful people are us. We are what we think. And if we think we are a good human being and that when we are gone, the world would remember us as a beautiful person then I don’t think there could be any better way to go. The need of the hour is not proving who is more powerful but to share the power within us with others; making our heart free from hatred, jealousy, grudges and selfishness and filling it with hope, humanity and generosity. The joy of saving this earth would be much greater than any other success in this world.

We have to join hands together and save our earth and humanity too. We have to help the generation to come to believe in hope, to make them understand what is important in life and what’s not. It is you who could bring the change only if you think you can. And like the Captain Planet says “The power is yours!”

WEIRD RIGHT TURN

I was walking down the street, looking for a gift shop to buy something special for my mom’s birthday. It was a busy street with people moving to and fro. I had already checked out some gift shops but could not find anything special for my mom. I continued searching for other gift shops, with a black leather purse on my shoulder and a cute white dress on me with a silk red ribbon tied around my waist and matching white shoes, when I came across a turn. Breaking Rules

Few days back, I had my third semester exams and I had to travel alone to my examination centre. Moreover, I had to travel by train to reach my examination centre. My exam was going to start at 2pm. When I reached at the railway station, it was already 12.30pm. Surprisingly, the entire platform was crowded. It was like everybody had decided to travel with me in the same train like I am some kind of celebrity. Anyways, the truth behind the crowd struck me when I saw the indicator. It showed 10.35 ST. The trains were late by almost 2 hours. How come the trains want to be late when I want it to be on time? I wanted to do my eleventh hour revision after reaching my examination centre. But with the crowd I was surrounded there, it did not seem like I would even reach there on time to give my exams. I had no option but to wait for the 10.35am train.
